    RSClient print ActiveX Control

    Hi Teo,

Is there any way we can install RSClientPrint ActiveX Control to user machines as a patch by Network Group.Beacuse we have 1400 users in different locations and they are administrators on there machines to install ActiveX Control.

Hope i was clear enough in explaining.

    Thanks

    This should work:

    1. Extract the RSClientPrint.cab file located in the \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL3\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin folder.

    2. Copy the RSClient.dll and all *.rll files to the user Windows System32 folder.

    3. Register RSClient.dll by executing this command:  c:\regsvr32.exe /s  c:\Windows\system32\rsclientprint.dll

    Re: RSClient print ActiveX Control

    Hi Teo,

I deleted RSClientPrint Control from my machine and followed the steps that you mentioned and it did not work. For the last step i am getting c:\regsvr32.exe is not a recognized command.

I changed to C direcotry in cmd and executed this command regsvr32.exe /s  c:\Windows\system32\rsclientprint.dll.It did not say command executed succesfully and no errors.Thought it installed but i did not found RSClientPrint Control on my machine. (c:\windows\downloadedprogramfiles)

    Am i doing anything wrong.

    Thanks

Sorry, it should have been without C:, regsvr32.exe /s  c:\Windows\system32\rsclientprint.dll. This is what you did anyway. The /s switch is for silent mode which explains why you don't see a confirmation message. So, you are ready to go. It shouldn't matter where the dll is located as long as it registered.

Hm, you need to try this on a clean machine but I am suprised that it asks you to download. Are you sure you registered it?
